Now, because of the issues, I'm just not bothering with the side stuff. Even if it's just a second, I get booted, launched back to town and have to ride (or fucking walk if it's the first 30 hours of the fucking game) back there. Especially with how often the server disconnects. I didn't want to do any of the side dungeons because half of the side quests involved going into one or more of them and doing them twice is exhausting. I am at level 51 and have been for what feels like the last 40 hours. I recognize the second thing will be solved over time as Aspects are added to fill out seasons, but I hope the lead time on seasonal affix design is fluid enough that they can see what skills aren't being used and they can develop aspects potent enough to pull them into the meta without some 2+ season delay. And yeah, they should have led with a season that was going to have a permanent endgame activity, or at the VERY least let the seasonal mechanic exist in a frozen state on the character when they're moved into the Eternal Realm. The legendary pool also isn't broad enough to make up for the loss of skillrunes either Upheaval only has one legendary aspect that engages with it beyond a generic "Core Skill gets buffed" interaction, which requires Call of the Ancients on your bars to use it in the first place. Nightmare Dungeons are good enough, but feel like they're not leveraging all the dungeons the game has to the fullest. It feels like a very Diablo 3 build and I've been enjoying it up to level 70 where the WT4 monster scaling is starting to create problems until my equipment catches up. Instead I'm using a HOTA build using Perpetual Stomping as the big resource engine between Kick, Ground Stomp and occasionally Wrath of the Berserker driving things. I also haven't been using the popular triple-shout build because I don't want to. I'm still waiting for the first season to hit before I make a Druid, but my Barbarian has been a pretty good time so far.
